Keyword Research Made Simple!
Keyword Research is the first task in optimizing your web site and pay-per-click campaign. Here you need to know what keywords your target group is using. Your keywords are the words and phrases that people might use to find your products, brands, services, or information, via search engines. Step 1: Keyword Identification The first step in your keyword research is to identify keywords. Keyword identification is about finding the keywords that your target group is using. You can probably develop a few ideas very quickly. If you run a pet shop, you may identify keywords such as: "dog food" and "cat food". Step 2: Find Keywords The second step in your keyword research is to find keywords what people actually use and to organize your keywords by their popularity. To find keywords and their popularities use the keyword search box from Aleksika to learn the search behaviour of your audience. Find out what they call things, how they identify subjects, how precisely or broadly they generally search. You can also get good keyword ideas from the top keywords collection that contains the top 100.000 keywords of the year or the keyword directory where you can find keywords organized by subject. Step 3: Choose Keywords Copy the relevant counts and phrases into a spreadsheet. After you've examined all the individual phrases that could apply to your site, your spreadsheet will contain every phrase of importance. Next, sort the phrases by the "count" column. The resulting display shows the relative importance of each phrase. You will have to choose keyword phrases that are most relevant to your Web site - two and three-words keyword phrases that best describe your products and services. Many searchers enter one-word queries into the search form but the chance of competing successfully for one-word search engine keywords is fairly remote. The number of competing websites is simple too high. Instead of wasting your efforts then you choose keywords with one-word, it is suggested that you concentrate on those keywords, which are easily manageable. Which SEO Company/Firm to Choose for SEO Services? In the last 2-3 years many new companies have mushroomed, providing cost effective seo services to their customers. In this whole galaxy of seo companies some are authentic, while others are not. How Web Design Can Affect Search Engine Rankings Uniquely built web sites can create unique issues when being promoted on the search engines. From a basic 3 page brochure site to a corporate site with hundreds of dynamically generated pages, every web site needs to have certain design aspects in order to achieve the full effects of an SEO campaign. Below are a few points to take into consideration when building or updating your web site. Link Popularity Pitfalls As we all know Google uses their PageRank technology to measure link popularity by counting the number of inbound links to your web pages, and it is one of the many factors influencing your ranking. Most website owners do not utilize properly what PageRank they already have. Their linking campaigns could be in vain if they let a large number of outbound links drain their existing PageRank. If their site were a bucket it would be full of holes, to illustrate this point, if you had a large number of outbound links, which are not reciprocated it would reduce your overall PageRank. Be diligent in identifying sites that are no longer linking back to you anymore. Also keep in mind putting more than 50 outbound links on any page is not advisable. Also be wary of sites that link to you from pages with more than 50 outbound links. Google's PagerRank is based on incoming links, but not only on the number of them. Instead PageRank is also based on the PageRank of the page on which your link is placed. For example a link to your site could be more valuable from a PR4 page with no other links than a link from a page with PR5 and 60 other links. The Myth of Search Engine Submission Contrary to what most people think, it is not necessary to submit your site to the search engines. In the early days of the web, when search engine technology was still primitive and search engines' ability to crawl the web was somehow limited, it made sense to submit your site. Search Engine Strategies for Affiliate Websites The major search engines are always on the lookout to improve their search results and to weed out websites with duplicate content. They are also weeding out websites that mainly contain affiliate links. This is going to affect quite a few businesses on the Internet that depend on affiliate links to generate revenue. Simple Way to Get High Pagerank Everyone knows that if your website has a high Google Pagerank, you have all chances to reach good search engine positions, to get serious partners, or simply get more money selling text links. Google Tests Expanded Search To Include Printed Works Google Labs is currently testing Google Print, which returns results from within scanned printed books along with Google's standard web search results. The searcher doesn't have to do anything special - the printed work results are already included in the Google database. Searchers have the option of narrowing their search by including, for example, the word "book" in their search terms. For example, a search on "home repair" might return a variety of web sites, online merchants, etc., while changing the search to "home repair book" will help filter the results to include more material scanned directly from books. The Write to Link Popularity Incorporating writing as a means of boosting your link popularity can be a turnoff for many webmasters, when in fact it can lead to a wealth of links. 10 Ways to Make Sure Your SEO Goes Out of Its Way for You If they want to have success, companies should do everything they can to ensure that their SEO firm doesn't provide lousy service.
